Vehicle for life

If your body was a car, what kind? How well do you care for the one you drive?

What model did you climb into? When you are born, it's like you caught a ride in a vehicle (your physical body) for life. Although it grows and changes through time, how we care for it has a lot to do with how resilient it becomes. Sure some may seem to get lucky with the Porsche or Ferrari - but these are high maintenance and need the high performance fuel. That can be costly to keep looking so sleek. Regardless of the Maserati or the Ford you got, if you don't take care of it, the Ford could ultimately last longer and look better than the Ferrari.

Regular maintenance: Our bodies love routine. Routine sleep, routine exercise, routine eating, and for consenting adults regular sexual activity.. the list goes on. Just like a car, your body can't run on empty and requires scheduled maintenance to perform optimally. What have you done for your body lately?

Our physical bodies operate on a biorhythm that synchronizes with our hormonal release, the time of day, the time of year, the phase of the moon and the rotation of the earth. Our physical bodies will cycle in time, for women about every seven years and men about every eight. It is the natural circle of life.

Dr. Laura M. Brown, ND will help you learn how to best care for whatever model you are blessed to drive in this life. Tune it up, shine it up and drive it proudly!
